To dictate an apostrophe followed by the letter S, try ’single quote s’.

WSR doesn’t really support text shortcuts (you can sort of do them with user lexicon entries, which I strongly suspect is what you are doing).

I’m a current ringcentral customer. My number has been disabled several hours today because of some apparent server problems on their side. Their website and customer lines are also down so there is really no way of contacting them. Meanwhile I’m loosing business. Frustrating to say the least!

I couldn’t even get the trial to work as I didn’t recieve the email with set-up instructions. When I phoned the help line I got voice mail which was never returned. Emails were ignored. What could and should be a very helpful product is a waste of time due to extreamly poor product support. I assume this service is a subcon operation in the US commissioned by BT. If they want to make money from the service they need to offer it direct with full UK product support. Only then will I ever consider this product.

I’ve been using bt ringcentral for around 6 months now, at first the service did what I wanted, forwarded the 0800 to my mobile, now I get no audio on incoming calls. I spoke to bt and they said it was a known issue and they are working on it!

I didn’t even take the trial when I found out that you can’t accept international calls on the 0844 number! How dumb is that??

You could give up Scots and talk American. If John Barrowman can do it then so can you (although your preference may differ).

That’s quite an annoying limitation. I haven’t used Vista speech yet and I was looking forward to not rhyming “a” with “Hogmanay” and “the” with “Dundee”, and creating a special word pronounced “perry odd” to mean “not the end of the sentence”. I’m told the new speech facilities are greatly improved otherwise as well. But cross off one of the advantages?

I wonder if this can be worked around by triggering some sort of macros with a “run program” voice command? Or is that what is broken? I have also been enjoying using a product called AutoHotkey which can make Windows do clever things including rewriting what you type, but when I looked last it was not speech friendly yet – but you could run it as a command.
